Copy print photographs of original cartes-de-visites of officers who served with the 9th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. The collection consists of twenty-two copy print photographs, which were taken from original images in the holdings of the Sauk County Historical Society. Identified individuals include Charles C. Buchenau, George Eckhardt, Anton Fischer, Charles Lorenzen, Adam Maass, Mair Pointon, Edward Ruegger, Carl Ruf, Charles and Friedrich Salomon, Reinhard Schlichting, Herman Schlueter, Carl H. Schmidt, Louis Schuetz, Henry Stocks, Julius Ulrich, David Veidt, and Michael Wehr. Also include is an image of Brigadier General Samuel Allen Rice, who commanded the 9th Wisconsin during the Battle of Helena (Arkansas).
